Review of The Devil's Advocate (1997) by Penelope R — 17 Jun 2009
Watched part of this again, between Any Given Sunday (yes, it was Al Pacino love-fest, apparently). The plot is stretched a little too far at points, but definitely held my interest. Reeves is okay. He is pretty much standard Reeves, but it fits the character decently.
Theron was great, and this movie pretty much put her on my map. And Pacino. Enough said. The ending really just takes it a step further into the surreal/supernatural than I would have liked. It could have been done without.
But the premise is good, and Pacino is great, which gave me enough love for this movie.
