Review of The Devil's Advocate (1997) by Angie I — 04 Oct 2012
This movie took FOREVER!! Robert Deniro is a better devil. I got tired of Pacino yelling. I got tired of Theron screeching. Surprisingly enough, Reeves wasn't as wooden as he usually is.
I find it kind of funny that Satan would let his son be raised religious. I know to him it's a punch in the eye but it can be a powerful indoctrination. Honestly, I would have taken the deal; if my wife hadn't been driven to insanity and it involved screwing my half sister. Too far, even for someone "on parole". So despite all the foreshadowing, there was no suspense. I never thought for a second Lomax would take the deal. Whatever Satan has in store as the journalist won't work either. Glad there was no sequel.
