Review of The Devil and Daniel Johnston (2006) by Claire J — 08 Feb 2008
Moving & brilliant, Daniel Johnston is an absolute genius & to achieve what he has with his illness is astounding. The film really quite upset me in a way as his family who look after him seem quite frail.
I think his voice & his style of music is really appealing, I do also like his voice (not many people do) & think he should be celebrated a lot more. The best songwriter ever? Could be! "Casper the friendly ghost.
..". I was also suprised his condition is bi-polar, surely this isn't the same issue those namby pamby celebs say they have?! They should watch it, cos I don't think it's the same thing.
