Review of The Devil and Daniel Johnston (2006) by Sara B — 03 Dec 2008

An interesting story and nicely put together, but I didn't enjoy it enough to give it my full attention. It was a bit like watching Behind the Music about someone I'd never heard of so it took awhile before I even started to care at all.

I was not familiar with Daniel Johnston before watching this so based only on this movie I have to say I don't really understand the appeal of him beyond a novelty, at least musically. I think his art was pretty interesting though.
