Review of The Devil All the Time (2020) by Bertobellamy — 23 Sep 2020
The Devil All the Time is gruesome, but Antonio Campos, the director, seems more interested in the pile of bodies than it the violence's origin. Sure there is a point in the war as a kind of original sin, but some of the subplots lead to nowhere.
Tom Holland gives a great performance as a caring boy surrounded by death; on the other hand, Robert Pattinson plays a bad guy's caricature. Overrall, it's not a bad movie, but it's impossible no to feel like a it's been a great waste of talent.
