The Descendants is one of those quiet movies that can't help but put you in a reflective mood. It's at times funny, sometimes poignant, but always emotional to some degree. Some of the emotions are a little too forced, but it's the dynamic between Clooney and the kids that really draws you in and keeps you hooked.
The entire cast does a terrific job bringing to life such down to earth and relatable characters, and you can't beat the locale.
