Review of The Descendants (2011) by Jack C — 10 Apr 2013
The Descendants is a sad, unforgiving feature with a certain realism about it that makes it so difficult to overlook. There's no head-shaking nonsense, everything that happens feels like it should, yet unpredictably so, and George Clooney portrays the lead character perfectly to carry it along.
On top of that, the film also boasts a cheeky, if-only-you-knew-style sense of humour that made it even more pleasant to watch.
