Review of The Descendants (2011) by Brian V — 06 Nov 2012
I'll be honest....didn't think I was gonna like it. I was pleasantly surprised. You can empathize with Clooney's character even though you are certain that you would probably crack under the pressure of all the responsibility he has, the tough choices he is presented with, and the circumstances he is given.
With this movie having comedic moments, you are surprised Clooney's character takes the high road even when everyone else seems to 'shit' on him at any chance they get. His conduct throughout the movie gives this film a sort of warmth.
