Review of The Departed (2006) by Sage H — 28 Jan 2014
I don't even like crime thrillers and I can honestly say this movie is absolutely exquisite. From start to finish, the film pulls you into this realistic world and catches you and holds on tight from start to finish.
This edge-of-your-seat thriller is a record and career high for every single cast member in it, along with it's director. Not only does it have one of the greatest ensembles ever on film but every single one of them pulls it off brilliantly.
Leonardo is superb, Damon is perfect, Nicholson is captivating, Wahlberg is stunning, along with Sheen and Baldwin. The story is incredibly told and each character depicted is excellent, this is truly one of the best movies I have ever seen in my entire life.
