Review of The Deer Hunter (1978) by Adam B — 06 Jul 2011
I thought it was an all around great film. it is an emotional rollercoaster ride. it also has a great storyline. in the beginning the young men are getting drunk and are in a young invincible setting, when De niro and savage return the tesion is thick and things are not the same as before.
walkins death moebidly was one of the best scenes I have ever seen in a film. it captured the intensity, rawness and travisty in walkins death and what it meant even to the people back home. overall I give the deer hunter 100/100 the deer hunter is most definetly one of my favorite films by far.
