I imagine this is much better as a play and doesn't translate to screen terribly well. Saying that, I found it quite moving in parts and Mrs Craig gives a very convincing effort, as does Simon Russell Beale.
Couldn't see the appeal of the love interest. She is better offf with Mr Craig. Take a hanky.
