Review of The Deep (1977) by Marilee A — 12 Apr 2011
Although this movie shares several things with 'Jaws' - based on Peter Benchley novels, sharks, co-starring Robert Shaw - it is nowhere as good as Spielberg's film. It's actually quite long and slooooooooooow.
Robert Shaw hams it up, Nick Nolte looks young and handsome, while Jacqueline Bisset is stunningly beautiful. The credits list Donna Summer's 'Theme From The Deep', however, only an instrumental version is played.
Don't know why they removed Donna's vocals from this DVD release.
