Review of The Deaths of Ian Stone (2008) by Andy M — 28 Mar 2008
If Groundhog Day collided with Final Destination and The Butterfly Effect after getting rear ended by The Matrix, you'd have The Deaths of Ian Stone, an imaginative and unpredictable science fiction thriller that lends itself to the most recent 8 Films To Die For.
While it may sound derivative â?? and it is â?? the film moves at a fast pace and has enough good performances and plot twists to keep it entertaining. The cast is good, as is Dario Pianaâ??s direction.
Itâ??s only when Brendan Hoodâ??s script resorts to exposition that the film grinds to a halt.
