Review of The Death of Stalin (2017) by Paul B — 22 Oct 2017
The Death of Stalin is the blackest of black comedies from the directer who brought us Alan Partridge and In the Thick of It, Arnando Iannucci proceedings with stand out performances from Simon Russell Beale as the conniving and vile Lavrentiy Beria to Jason Isaac's who plays Georgy Zhukov, the Chief of the Soviet Army but with a brilliant Northern accent.
It is completely bonkers, think Blackadder meets Curb Your Enthusiasm and you're part way there. Could be a contender for comedy of the year!
