Dark, sophisticated, and with enough subtle humor to down an African elephant, ‘The Death of Stalin’ is one of the best films of 2018. While not for everyone, the writing and delivery by this amazing cast of actors and actresses is second to none.
Given it’s historical source material, ‘The Death of Stalin’ challenges the viewer to put aside their emotional instincts for the sake of humor. The ending provides a dark connection back to the real history in which the movie was based.
For a split second, the viewer is left questioning all the laughs they had along the way.
