Review of The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2005) by Willie K — 03 Nov 2007
The preview called this "the most acclaimed comedy of the year," but I can't imagine who would consider this comedic. It is, however, a disturbingly powerful Kafka-esque journey through the Romanian medical system - which isn't all that different from any other medical system - trust me, I worked in a Wyoming ER.
The movie is long and slow and frustrating, and ends without resolution. And yet... it's well-made.
