Review of The Deadly Affair (1967) by Abhijeet R — 19 Jul 2009
Nice old fashioned British spy thriller based on a John le Carré novel, Call for the Dead. The cloak and dagger aspect of the movie is classic Le Carre, but I didn't care for the sub plot between James Mason and Harriet Andersson (seemed like it was included to sell the movie with late 60s sensibilities).
Harry Andrews does a great job as inspector Mendel.
