Review of 3 Musketeers (2011) by Richard D — 15 Aug 2013

This film is an ok action flick considering the low budget roots but where it truly falters in the attempt to incorporate the classic Musketeers characters. I'm sorry, but if you're going to go that campy, you better really up the schlock factor on the film.

3 Musketeers doesn't come off hokey enough to work. The concept behind the film is ok on paper but as soon as a script started getting put together someone should have noticed this film was too straight for it to work.

Either go balls to the wall cooky or take out the silly Musketeers aspect and just make another standard direct to video low budget action flick. I'm pretty sure nobody looked at the title 3 Musketeers and said.

.. DAMN I gotta see that movie! But I could be wrong.
