Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Gary C — 22 Jun 2009
It's a good movie, but it's almost impossible to take Christopher Walken seriously. I mean, sure, he isn't a bad actor, but there's something funny watching him get flashes of people's future.
I wouldn't say it's Cronenberg's finest work, but it does have some pretty cool stuff going on. I think the best part of the entire movie was Martin Sheen as a wily and evil politician. If you're looking for something scary, look somewhere else.
If you're looking for something kinda cool, I think this qualifies.
