Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Muhammed S — 17 Dec 2012
The Dead Zone is a solid King adaptation, yet as a Cronenberg film it is rather middling. It helps that Walken was cast in the lead role, his screen presence has never really been in doubt. The story itself does lean towards the ludicrous as it progresses which will leave some people unsatisfied although what comes in the early to mid stages is strong enough to balance that out.
