I don't see what's so great about this horribly dated bore fest of a movie. I read the book and it wasn't bad at all (but it's a little overrated being known as one of King's better books).
The movie adaptation skips several entertaining parts and misrepresents how close and unique the character relationships are. Seeing it on the screen, just makes me think, "How the hell could you like this story w/out having read the book?".
