Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Brandon B — 14 Mar 2009
Master director David Cronenberg adapts one of Stephen King's best earlier novels, and perfectly casts Christopher Walken as the lonely psychic Johnny Smith. King attempted to make a story where we sympathize with a political assassin, and he succeeded masterfully.
Martin Sheen is sinister as a presidential hopeful who could eventually cause an atomic war. And the Castle Rock serial killer subplot is awesome as well.
