Review of The Dead Zone (1983) by Lez M — 09 Sep 2009
Never read the book by the mighty Stephen King but this movie is very well crafted. I can't make up my mind who adapted King better Cronenberg or Carpenter (I know there're others I'm talking about these two now).
One is twisted and more frightening (Carpenter) the other one is deeper and more psychological (Cronenberg). I guess I have to go with Cronenberg after seeing this movie. This movie is probably top five Stephen King book adaptions.
Christopher Walken is doing one of his best roles ever.
