Review of The Dead Girl (2006) by Oreste M — 14 Aug 2008
Incredible cast, holy cow! Split into vignettes, each piece delves into how one dead body affects four different people: the woman who found the body,Toni Collette. The coroner, Rose Bryne, who herself has been looking for her sister who went missing 15 years prior.
The mother of the dead body, Marcia Gay Harden- who I think was the prize performance of the movie, and the wife of the murderer, Mary Beth Hurt. Each character is fully developed and the performances are phenomenal.
My favorite aspect of the film are the specific moments where each character is witnessed in a moment of realization where they are alone.
