Review of The Dead Girl (2006) by Sherri D — 08 Oct 2009
This movie is very serious and not a comedy. The way the movie is proceived to the viewer is almost in a backwards fashion, meaning you know the ending but do you know the beginning. It also has almost a crash theme to it where everyones lifes almost intertwines with one another. I really dont know why this movie never won any awards or was more publicize.
The story begins where a young women who lives a sheltered and abusive life finds a dead girl in her back yard. she becomes infatuated with this girl and transforms her obsession into an extreme sexual desire (aka roleplaying rape). The story branches off to a girl who works at a morge that thinks the found dead girl is her long lost sister. The movie then branches off to an old women who is having problems with her husband who comes home late at night, not knowing where he goes. I dont want to give away the very emotional dept to all the characters story lines but it does end with telling you what happend to the dead girl.
Watch this movie and pay attention.
