Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) by Pete M — 11 Dec 2011
I wholeheartedly believe in the message of this film, a message we should all reflect on. Would I dream this upon us? No, but I do think we need our own precipice, we need to evolve in order to survive. I think we are heading down the wrong road the way we are living, and sadly need to change our ways.
As for the review of the film: For such an anticipated film you'd think they'd have a better screenplay than this. Some of the dialogue was just awful listening to. I'd like some films to take place outside of NYC as well, same location time after time becomes redundant. Overall I enjoyed it, had me captivated a lot of time.
