Of all the films Hollywood could have chosen to ruin in a terrible remake, why the fuck did it have to be this, oh god why would they ruin The Day the Earth Stood Still. This new version of a true Sci-Fi classic is complete garbage.
It's preachy, has two dimensional characters, overkill CGI, and terrible storytelling. The film doesn't do much of anything right; the story is barley adapted other than changing the city, overuse of advertisement, and has no emotion what so ever.
The acting is shit, Reeves is awful as Klaatu, the writing is clichéd as all, and the direction is lazy. A terrible re-imagining of a legendary film, the hell with the greedy corporate heads at Fox for doing this.
