Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Jason P — 13 Jan 2009
It's crazy to imagine a movie that is over 55 years old still holds up today in regards to being a classic. For a movie only lasting an hour and a half, the plot is well paced leaving audiences on the edge of their seat in various scenes.
It's a shame that directors today think adding a coat of CGI to classic remakes will yield great results when the directors fail to realize that pacing, acting, and character development are what makes movies like this a classic.
