Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Ian H — 22 Sep 2009
Entertaining and interesting film: even 50+ years after it was made ansd me seeing it for the first time. Particular fascinating seeing how obviously the film makes its point -- spelling it right out so there is no doubt [nowadays we seem to go for subtle point making].
Still: a good morale, and a very interesting way of handling the fear and issue of humanity destroying itself, as well as life around it.
