Review of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) by Rodney E — 01 May 2012
Not as good by todays vision, but rightfully remaining a science-fiction classic. The characters seem rather plain now, lacking depth and overacted commonly, and inevitably (so not their fault), the effects are aged and completely plain.
It still poses as entertaining though, presenting great usage of the camera and a plot that makes us as human beings question our ideas over extraterrestrial life.
