Review of The Day of the Triffids (1963) by Keith C — 25 Nov 2007

As an adaptation of an AMAZING book, it's absolutely wretched and manages to abolish almost everything that made it's source material what it was. However, as a b-movie with horrendous special effects and an awful script, it's pretty fun. You see my predicament here?

Read the book if you love brilliant well-woven tales of human morality that are engrossing and have great characters as well as make you think; watch the movie if you want the watered down hollywood happy ending version which is only enjoyable in an Ed Wood sorta way.
