What the hell happened to Greg McLean? 'Wolf Creek' wasn't perfect sure, but it was still a very interesting film and one of the better horror films of the 2000's. 'The Darkness' is the kind of horror film that is a celluloid tumor on the genre, a film that is so generic, so much of a cash grab, and so devoid of anything worthwhile that even some slasher films in the 1980s have more entertainment value to them.
Avoid 'The Darkness' at all costs and watch 'Stir of Echoes' instead, a much better Kevin Bacon film.
