Clearly a lot of people hate this movie and honestly, as a film, it's by no means a masterpiece but that's not why I decided to catch this flick, IDK about them?! I was simply looking to be entertained and this slow burn, not overly flashy movie without any of the young 'it' actors YA movies tend to be jam-packed with, film did.
Sure it's part Logan's Run, part Escape to Witch Mountain and part Scanners but it's all a good YA adventure. To those YA fans out there debating on watching it after seeing the gulf between what the audience thinks and what the critics tell us to think try to remember that just because it's not City of Lost Children doesn't make it X-Men 3... try it out.
I hope it made enough to justify a sequel, cause I would watch it.
