Review of The Darkest Hour (2011) by George P — 10 May 2012
The trailers had such promise, nearly invisible alien invaders. The story lagged throughout and character bonds and development was as if they could have made this with average people off the street. The biggest let down was the way the aliens looked when their actual forms behind their shields was visible.
For the CGI used on the shields, and people evaporation, you would think.the physical appearance of the aliens would be twice as better than what was shown.
