For fans of the dark tower book series this will be a disappointment due to 95% of characters and content of the series being left out and the remainder being condensed into 1hour40 minute film.
As a stand alone movie I found it was coherent and entertaining. I probably won't watch it again or buy it, but I don't regret watching it.
