Review of The Dark Tower (2017) by John W — 12 Aug 2017
It should be titled "inspired by" instead of "based on" King's books but it's still a good representation of the story for the screen. The action sequences are worth the price of the ticket.
The actors are amazing and each play their parts perfectly. The story is really condensed and seemed a little rushed. I would have liked to have seen a little more story development and the movie was just around 90 minutes so they had some time to do it.
I've read all the books a few times each so I was familiar with the characters to say the least. Some of the goodness may be lost on people unfamiliar with the books and some fans may be disappointed with the departure from the novels.
I think anyone can enjoy this flick if they give it a proper chance.
