I am pretty sure it was just a generic shity script and they were like "I won this shity script in a backroom poker game while I was all fucked up on coke,. how do we make some money out of it... Call Stephen! I have an idea" they changed a few names of peoples and places and slapped "The Dark Tower" on as the title.
