While McConaughey is great having fun and chewing scenery, Idris Elba is wasted in a role that should have been a career defining one for the already prominent actor. The script and direction are a mess and sadly Kings fantastical series is turned into an embarrassing hybrid of a reboot and sequel all at the same time.
