I am currently reading the dark tower series (currently on wizard and glass) and if you see this film expecting the glory of the books you will be seriously disappointed. As a stand alone film it can be pretty enjoyable, I enjoyed the three main actors especially the lad who played Jake, McConaughey was good as Walter as well.

The action scenes were pretty solid, watching Roland gun down rooms full of people was epic. Think this film could have been a lot better it was substantially longer with more of the lore in it. Also where the beep is Eddie and Susanne? Ultimately this is a film you can watch with enjoyable moments but flawed in many ways.

Don't think it deserves a zero, don't think there are many films out there that deserve a zero.
