I don't understand the bad ratings at all. I honestly believe that sci-fi movies are just not really liked by a lot of people (that's out of the star trek/star wars scope) and critics definitely have a problem with them.
I hate romantic comedies so it would be difficult for me to rate one and be unbiased. Anyways didn't read this novel of Kings, so not sure how close it follows. But the movie is worth a watch. We enjoyed it.
