This movie is good.
If you're expecting a play by play from the book you'll be let down, so you cannot go in with that expectation.
A movie is not the way to do this series justice in whole, but is a great entrance.
This movie is a good action fantasy that offers enough story to get anyone interested. The acting is solid. The plot easy to follow.
Don't base your movie going experience on bad reviews from bitter devoutees of the books. The book series is amazing. But this is not meant to give you the whole thing, and it knows that.
