As a Stephen King fan, I was surprised this film had received such low ratings. The plot moved quickly and the battles weren't at all dragged on. There is an existential and well portrayed other worldliness that comes through in both the filming and performances (esp.
that of Idris Elba). The relationships were strong although not dwelled upon in the duration of the film. It was fun and magical while embodying King's characteristic sinister foreboding.
