The Dark Tower series is my favorite of all time, and I thought this movie did exactly what it was trying to do (set up a universe that feels like a unique movie not a cookie cutter you know what) It was fun, a little weird, non offensive and faithful enough to keep my excited.
It bucked the trend of an epic needing to be 3 hrs and I appreciated that. My only gripe was the inexperienced DP and lack of epic soundtrack, other wise go see this movie it was so fun!!
