I'm a King fan, and love the Dark Tower series. Having read reviews, I knew the movie did not follow the books well at all. I still went to see it, and loved it as a movie unto itself. Great visual effects, great acting.
Wish it was longer and more in line with the books, but it kept to the over all theme, and I really enjoyed the movie on its own merits. Ignore the critics. In general they are just a bunch of idiots who wish they could make a movie.
