Review of The Dark Knight Rises (2012) by Juliana F — 17 Aug 2015
When you stop drinking the Nolan juice, the film's faults become abundantly clear and with a near three-hour running time, it becomes tedious. Bane's not a good villain, there are plot holes galore that ruin the themes and story the film is trying to convey and it becomes clear Nolan didn't want to make this film after Mr.
Ledger's death. HOWEVER, John Blake was brilliant and worked so well. I loved that part of the film. Is it enough for me to call it a good movie? Unfortunately no, but it's enough to keep me from calling it 'abysmal' and stop at 'disappointing'.
4/10.
