The conclusion to Nolan's Batman trilogy, TDKR offers more action than the previous entries combined and a surprisingly satisfying sense of finality. While Bane is not the psychological mastermind the Joker was in TDK, he provides Batman with a physical challenge he has never faced before.
Given the difficult task of succeeding the brilliant TDK, Nolan performs admirably as he crafts an ending that is both satisfying and unexpected.
