Review of The Dark Knight Rises (2012) by Hanif M — 31 May 2016
Amazing Movie!!! Saw it in Imax and it was brilliant! I absolutely adored the plot, Characters, Performances, scope, cinematography, Score and nearly everything else about this marvel of a film. The film is nearly three hours long and it feels like thirty minutes! I could have sat in the theater for twenty hours watching this movie and it would have been perfect.
The atomosphere of this film felt so epic yet I got the impression that everything that happen in the film could happen in real life. This movie is an instant classic and will be cherished by myself and many others for decades to come.
The action is relentless! This is a crime thriller unlike anything that you have seen before. Most of the effects are practical rather than cgi and it shows in its potency. This is probably the best ensemble cast that I have ever seen in my life.
Almost every character is given their moment to shine. Christian Bale is Riviting!!! This is probably his best performance out of the three films. His character arc comes to a devastating conclusion. His sadness and pain is made clear to the audience thanks to his intense acting.
He steals the show in the scenes he is in. Anne Hathaway steal the show in the scenes that she is in and Tom Hardy steals the show in scenes that he is in. Nearly every character steals the show in the scenes that they are in.
This movie is crazy! This is unbelievable! everyone who doubted Anne Hathaway should keep their mouths shut! She fierce, cunning, manipulative, sly, slick, Gorgeous, strong and just plain AWESOME!!! She was the Heath Ledger of this wonderful film in many ways.
Tom Hardy as Bane was the ultimate Villian. His performance was unbelievably Incredible. He was the Anti-Batman. The perfect villian to end a series with. Bane was riviting, genius, badass, terrifying, vibrant, strong, cunning, strategic, mysterious, complex, poetic, deep, and meaningful.
His dialogue is brilliant. His strength is insane. The fight scene between him and Batman is beyond Insane! Gary Oldman will break you heart. The Final sceene between him and Batman is so genius that I cry merely by thinking about it.
Michael Caine will move you to tears. This is his best performance in the series yet. Morgan Freeman is great as usual. Marian Cotillard is very good. This film build tension so masterfully well I think Nolan should continue making thrillers for the rest of his life.
Joseph Gorden Levitt as John Blake is so fantastic that I had no problem believing the twist that dealt with his character at the end of the film. Not only is this the greatest trilogy ever made but it is the perfect example of the hero's Journey.
No movie in this entire milky way could have told this story better than Nolan did. I dont say this lightly. This trilogy is a work of unfathomable GENIUS! I never felt so forfilled in all my life! If you love movies you must see this movie.
Everyone must watch this entire series!
