Review of The Dark Knight Rises (2012) by Naomi G — 08 Oct 2015
I'm not a fan of comic books nor the action genre. I have seen my share of these movies, including other versions of Batman. This particular iteration wasn't very different or more impressive than others except for Hathaway's brilliant portrayal of Selena Kyle/Catwoman, which certainly is the best incarnation of this character by any actress ever.
Certainly, there can be no other villain to Batman's hero that captivates the audience's interest as much as Catwoman, whether on TV or the move theater. No one else has ever portrayed this arch villainess, Catwoman, as well as Anne Hathaway.
. Hathaway creates a credible dichotomy between the every day Selena Kyle and her arch villainess alter ego Catwoman. Yet, the viewer can see a subtle relationship between the two and the two characters are not schismed beings but one and the same entitie.
