Review of The Dark Knight Rises (2012) by Matthew C — 29 Dec 2015
The Dark Knight Rises is the epic conclusion to a great trilogy. Bruce Wayne is now a shadow of his former self and hasn't been Batman for 8 years, but when Bane begins to threaten Gotham, Bruce must act.
This is the first live-action film that Batman isn't at his best, because Bane is simply better. It's nice to see Batman vulnerable for a change in a film. Tom Hardy is excellent as Bane and the entire cast does a great job in this film.
The story and musical score are both terrific. This is my personal favorite Batman movie of all time.
