Review of The Dark Knight (2008) by U A — 13 Jun 2017
This is the superhero movie that transcends the genre into a near perfect crime movie. The only con would be the moderate take of Bale's Batman as he plays second to his supporting characters. From the complexity of Dent's plot, to the heartbreaking endeavor that Alfred experiences for Bruce, to Ledger's excellent representation of the greatest villain in comics.
This movie should be studied in classes and not be fooled by the superhero presence that the Academy so idiotically saw as not Oscar worthy. Truly this film shows that because it is based on a colorful cartoon book, it is just as important as any literature work and its adaptations.
